Start Preparation for Your Spring Garden

Winter is usually a quiet time in the garden. It won't be long before spring arrives and you’ll be caught up in the frenzy of weeding, fertilizing and planting your garden! Getting your garden ready early will help make spring a little less hectic.
  • Blanket your garden bed with at least a half-inch layer of worm castings (more is even better).  The Castings will be a fresh infusion of nutrient-rich organic matter, and will improve the soil’s ability to handle water as well as nourish your crops.
  • Another good preparation is to cultivate your soil. Rain, gravity and other forces can cause soil to become compacted over time, so loosening it before planting should be a priority.
  • Apply more worm castings to the degree that matches the needs of the crops you are planting. Light feeding plants only need a small amount and heavier feeders need more.
Keep all of your plants strong by watering with worm tea throughout the year! Using our tea brewer is the safest and most economical way to keep your garden looking great all year long!  Please check us out online at www.casting4growth.com for tons of information  about using castings as well as helpful and instructive videos on how to brew and use worm tea.

Casting4Growth would like to stay in touch with you. People are quickly discovering how
beneficial growing organically can be. Casting4Growth's aerator, we feel, is the best. The
design of our aerator assures you that your casting tea is maximizing the growth of the
thousands of beneficial microbes. With our design you don't just have a few streams of air
coming up through your tea, but the entire bucket of casting/molasses and water are being
aerated constantly over the 24 hours you brew, making the tea rich in those good, beneficial
microbes.
Our 5 gallon worm casting tea can cover up to an acre of land. To make the 5 gallons you only
need to use about 3 lbs. of worm castings and 1 /4 cup of Sulphured Molasses. After brewing for
20-24 hours there should be a foam head on the brew, which is a sign that your tea is highly
active with microbial life. If you are applying your tea with a sprayer, you will need one of our
micro filters, or run your tea through cheese cloth or even hosiery to make sure your sprayer
doesn't get clogged. You will need to make sure you distribute your tea within the next 4 to 6
hours so that your tea will have the most effect.
Our 55 gallon aerator, like the 5 gallon, sends out hundreds of air bubbles throughout the tea,
guaranteeing that you will have maximum microbial density. For our 55 gallon brewer takes 35
lbs of worm castings and 1 jar, 1 0-1 2 ox of Unsulphured Molasses to brew your worm tea.
Most will agree that the cost is minimal, while the benefits are high! ! !
